Josh Davis won three gold medals in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and came back four years later to win two silver medals in Sydney. He was a nine-time U.S. champion in the 200-meter freestyle (every year from 1996 to 2002) and he also won titles in the 400-meter freestyle and the 200-meter backstroke.
