A lifelong swimmer and part of a swimming family (her parents met through Masters), Denise swam collegiately at Rutgers. She went on to UVA Law School and is a practicing attorney in Richmond. She's a 10 time USMS All-American, 30 time Virginia LMSC record holder, and avid open water swimmer.
